Effective date: June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Blue 8 Bookkeeping, LLC website and the bookkeeping services we provide. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Blue 8 Bookkeeping, LLC provides bookkeeping and related financial support services to freelancers and self-employed individuals. The specific scope of services will be outlined in a separate engagement agreement or service proposal provided to each client prior to the start of work.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely financial information necessary for Blue 8 Bookkeeping to perform its services. This includes bank statements, receipts, invoices, and any other documentation requested. Blue 8 Bookkeeping is not responsible for errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.
Service fees are agreed upon in writing prior to the start of an engagement. Monthly retainer fees are due on the first of each month. Invoices for one-time services are due within 14 days of receipt. Blue 8 Bookkeeping reserves the right to suspend services for accounts more than 30 days past due.
Blue 8 Bookkeeping treats all client financial information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your information to any third party except as required by law or as necessary to provide the agreed-upon services (e.g., sharing data with your CPA at your direction). This obligation survives the termination of our engagement.
Blue 8 Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping services only and does not provide tax advice, legal advice, or accounting services that require a CPA license. We strongly recommend working with a licensed CPA or tax professional for tax preparation, tax planning, and any matters requiring professional accounting judgment.
Blue 8 Bookkeeping's liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services is limited to the fees paid by the client in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, the client is responsible for fees incurred through the termination date. Blue 8 Bookkeeping will provide the client with all financial records and documentation in our possession upon request.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from our engagement will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.
Blue 8 Bookkeeping reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
